The next tree planting event
The next tree planting event will take place in June 2008 to coincide with Environmental Week
March 12th, 2008 was the second tree planting event in conjunction with World Water Day. The event was sponsored by Mesiniaga and was followed by a waterbug survey for the children of their staff. All the trees planted out are surviving and flourishing.
The first tree planting event was successfully carried out on November 13, 2007, in conjunction with the launch of the Environmental Education Programme with Sekolah Rendah Jenis Kebangsaan (Tamil) Ladang Tanah Merah, in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. 100% of the planted riverine trees are surviving and growing well to date
