Our environmental education programme

Our environmental education programme, in conjunction with the "River of Life" project started at the Sekolah Rendah Jenis Kebangsaan (Tamil) Ladang Tanah Merah with the main aim of creating a sense of ownership and responsibility towards the environment, thus ensuring long-term sustainability of the project.

Classroom sessions, integrated with nature field trips, make environmental learning fun and effective. Phase One of the education programme, termed 'Discover Your Environment: Hills to Seas', includes, but is not limited to, subjects such as:

"There's Water in Those Hills"

"Shady Streams & Sunny Streams"

"Water Down the Drain"

"A Closer Look at Mangroves"

"That was the River, This is the Sea"

Some (if not all) of these modules are appropriate for adults as well, to remind them of Earth's precious natural resources and the importance of their preservation.
